Membership is open to all people. You do not have to have been a member of the 8th AF or relative of a member to join.
Annual membership cost is only $15.00.
The goal of the organization is to learn from the people who were in the 8th Air Force during World War II, their relatives, descendants, historians, or others who have an interest in aviation combat during the Second World War over Europe.
The local chapter mails out a newsletter on a quarterly basis. It is one of the few places where you can read about some of the local people who actually flew in combat in WW II.
The society maintains a reference library of donated material from present and past members of their experiences during the war. These original source documents, and written recollections, are available to all.
A scheduled location and time to meet with some of the people who actually flew against the Luftwaffe in World War Two.
It is also a way to share your interest in aviation and the role it played in defeating the AXIS powers with other people who have this common interest in aviation.
Meeting are held at the Beaverton Elks lodge. There is no cost to attend a meeting and all meetings are open to the public.
